FAQs

Q: Are there Aid Stations:

A: Aid Stations are located every 2–4 miles and will be stocked with water, HOIST electrolyte drinks, runner fuel, and assorted snacks. For longer distances, runners are strongly encouraged to carry their own hydration and fuel, whether in a pack or handheld bottles.

Q: Are strollers allowed on the course?
A: Yes! Strollers are welcome. Please note that the Half Marathon includes a climb up County Road 13, which can be tough with a stroller—proceed with caution and at your own risk.

Q: What should I do if I need to drop out during the race?
A: Check in with the nearest Aid Station or contact the Race Team by email or phone. Volunteers at Aid Stations can help if you need medical attention or a ride back to the finish.

  • Top Overall Finishers: 1st and 2nd Male & Female in each distance receive a custom clay award + $20 Scheels Gift Card.

Q: I purchased race merchandise during registration. How do I get it?
A: Just let us know when you pick up your bib—we’ll have your retail items ready for you.

Q: When does registration close?
A: Registration will be available at packet pickup and on race day while supplies last. Shirt sizes are only guaranteed through September 1.

Q: Where can I park?
A: Parking is available at:

  • Dirt lot at 445 Baja Drive, Windsor

  • W Club Parking Lot at 1870 Marina Drive, Windsor

Q: Is this marathon a Boston Qualifier?
A: Not yet—but we’re actively working toward certification.

Q: Is there a course time limit?
A: The finish line will remain open until 2:00 PM. We’ve never closed down before the last runner finishes—and we don’t plan to start now! Aid Stations stay open until then, but may switch to self-serve if volunteers need to leave.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We’re unable to offer refunds or transfers. However, you’re welcome to pick up your bib and shirt at packet pickup.

Q: Are the roads closed for this race?
A: No—this is a “rules of the road” event. That means runners must obey all traffic laws and ensure it’s safe before crossing roads. Professional traffic control will be present at major intersections. Always follow their directions and stay alert.
